Manchester United moving to sign £30m midfielder now depends on Casemiro exit

Manchester United are keen on Fluminense midfielder Andre but any move relies upon Casemiro leaving Old Trafford in 2024.

It doesn’t feel like five minutes since we were talking about United’s deadline day activity.

Four signings arrived on the final day of the window with Altay BayindirSergio ReguilonJonny Evans and Sofyan Amrabat all arriving.

The January transfer window is fast approaching now though and United fans may be looking for a couple of additions to bolster Erik ten Hag’s squad.

Manchester United want Andre amid Casemiro exit rumours

Another midfielder could be a priority, especially if Casemiro leaves the club.

Reports on Tuesday suggested that Sir Jim Ratcliffe is open to selling Casemiro when he seizes control of United’s football operations.

The 31-year-old is a big earner at United and is thought to have interest from Al Hilal over in Saudi Arabia.

90Min now claim that United are keen on Fluminense midfielder Andre, but a deal is ‘reliant’ on Casemiro leaving the club.

22-year-old Andre is allegedly one of a host of names mentioned inside Old Trafford as being a potential Casemiro replacement.

Fluminense want £30million for Andre but United seemingly don’t want to spend that kind of money without offloading Casemiro first.

United may well risk missing out as Arsenal, Liverpool and Tottenham Hotspur are also thought to be keen.

Andre has recently praised Casemiro

This may be a little disappointing for both Andre and Casemiro, who may actually like to play together in the United midfield.

Andre’s energy alongside Casemiro’s experience could be an exciting blend and Andre has talked up the United man.

The Fluminense star admitted that he loves talking to Casemiro on international duty with Brazil and is always trying to gain advice from him.

Andre would surely love to play with Casemiro at United, but it may well be a case of one or the other in 2024.
