Sunday morning transfer news: Manchester United is currently the front-runner in the Premier League to recruit a £52.6 million star, ahead of Manchester City and Arsenal, and the club is prepared to accept a payment schedule.

The Red Devils need to bolster their roster during the winter transfer window, with bolstering the defense being the top priority.
Goncalo Inacio, a star for Sporting CP, is reportedly being pursued by Real Madrid, United, and Liverpool. He will play against Benfica tonight.
Man Utd is the front-runner to recruit the Portuguese international from the Lions in the Premier League, if claims from the Spanish media are to be believed.
As per an article published by AS yesterday (see news image below), United is Inacio’s top choice in England while the Old Trafford team looks for a new center defender.

Real Madrid are leading the race as the 22-year-old defender himself wants to move to the Bernabeu to follow in the footsteps of Portugal legends, Luis Figo and Cristiano Ronaldo.

Inacio’s contract with the Lisbon side has a release clause of 60 million euros (£52.6m) but AS claim Sporting are ready to accept a payment plan involving and initial outlay of 45 million euros and the rest in the form of ‘easily met objectives’.

It is reported that Manchester United are Real Madrid’s strongest rival in the race to lure Inacio in the January transfer window.

In your opinion, should Man Utd activate the release clause to sign the Seleccao star in winter?
